• Version selector (2.3 to 2.6) that flags fields a release does not define

Questions

Is the HL7 viewer free?

Yes. Every viewer feature is free and needs no account.

Can I paste real patient messages?

Not into the web version. Use the offline viewer in the free Sandbox download for real data; it never sends anything over the network.

Which HL7 versions does it understand?

Any v2 message parses. Field names follow v2.5.1, and the version selector flags fields that 2.3, 2.3.1, 2.4, 2.5 or 2.6 do not define.
