This agreement is between you and [LLC legal name], doing business as AckHarbor™ ("we", "us"), the publisher of the Harbor Engine Sandbox (the "Sandbox"). By opening, downloading or using the Sandbox you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
The Sandbox is a free, simplified practice interface engine that runs in your web browser. It simulates hospital systems and HL7® version 2 message traffic so you can learn how interfaces are built and supported. It is a teaching tool. It is not a medical device, not a production interface engine and not a substitute for any vendor's product.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free license to use the Sandbox for learning, teaching and evaluation. Instructors may use it in classes and workshops.
Downloaded copy. The downloaded Sandbox runs entirely on your computer and does not send the messages you enter anywhere. Its viewers keep what you paste only while the page is open, and the engine saves its work only in your browser's local storage on that computer. You may use your own messages in it. You are responsible for following your organization's privacy and security policies and the laws that apply to you (for example HIPAA), and for securing your computer.
Browser version on our website: Don't paste PHI.
All patients, providers, organizations, phone numbers and identifiers in the Sandbox are invented. Any resemblance to real people or organizations is coincidental. Penford Medical Center is fictional.
The Sandbox stores your work only in your own browser (local storage). It does not send your channels, messages or settings to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
The Sandbox's software, text and sample data are owned by us and protected by copyright. HL7® and FHIR® are registered trademarks of Health Level Seven International, used here only to describe the standards the Sandbox teaches. The Sandbox is not affiliated with or endorsed by HL7 International. Other product names belong to their owners.
The Sandbox is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Educational content may contain errors or may not match a particular version of a standard or a particular vendor's behavior.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from the Sandbox. Because the Sandbox is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to US $0, or the lowest amount the law allows.
You may stop using the Sandbox at any time. This license ends automatically if you break these terms. Sections 4 and 6 to 10 continue after it ends.
We may update this agreement; the version and date above will change, and continued use means you accept the update. Governing law and venue: to be confirmed by counsel (proposed: State of New Jersey, USA). If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
